Flip Chip Opto has expanded its business into the UV LED industry with the introduction of a new branch: Violumas.
Violumas will serve as a comprehensive platform for high power UV LED solutions with an expansive product line including: UV wafers, UV chips, UV LEDs, MCPCBs, and cooling systems. Building off of Flip Chip Opto’s signature technologies, the 3-PAD Flip Chip and Pillar MCPCB, Violumas aims to provide the highest power UV LEDs on the market. Current UV offerings from popular LED manufacturers are limited in their power output due to the excessive thermal stress that comes along with producing UV spectrum. Violumas addresses this fundamental problem using FCO’s patented chip architecture in order to produce high power UV LED solutions, particularly in the deep UV range (UVB & UVC).
